We’re thrilled to share that Walter Code has been honored with the 2024 SDG Business Leaders in Sustainable Development Award in Bosnia and Herzegovina! Recognized in the “Resources and Environment” category for medium-sized enterprises, we’re one of the 32 companies selected from a pool of 360 applicants, all striving to make a difference in sustainability, environmental protection, and social responsibility.
This award, funded by Sweden and implemented by UNDP in collaboration with the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, celebrates the commitment and innovation of the private sector in advancing sustainable development goals (SDGs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 2024 award focused on companies that excel in creating and maintaining quality jobs while actively reducing their environmental impact.
Winning this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of every member of the Walter Code community. Together, we’ve built something truly special, and we’re just getting started. Implementing sustainability isn’t just a choice; it’s a necessity for a prosperous future.
This recognition is part of the “Framework for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in Bosnia and Herzegovina” (SDG2BIH) program, a joint initiative funded by Sweden and implemented by UNDP in partnership with UNICEF and UN Women, as part of the UN’s support to the BiH government in implementing the SDG framework.
